Background

"Exploring New Horizons 2025" is one of the key activities launched by the Council of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum (the HKLF). In this activity, senior secondary school students can visit laboratories of local universities and research institutions and engage in dialogue with local scientists and researchers, to gain a deeper understanding of scientists' work, cultivate their interest in science, and ignite their pursuit of scientific research advancement.

Event Details

Event Period January to March 2025
Target Senior secondary school students
No of Visits 15 laboratories visits to outstanding local scientists / research teams will be scheduled
Capacity Each visit will accommodate around 10-50 students, depending on the capacity of the laboratory
Transportation For groups of 10 or more members, the HKLF will provide free shuttle bus services between schools / pick-up points and the venues
Language The visits will be conducted in either Cantonese or English, depending on the combination of individual scientists and participants
Participation fee The participation is free of charge

*Please enroll before 12:00 noon on 9 January 2025 (Thursday)
*Enrollment will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis, we will arrange for the sessions according to the number of participants and your preferences as much as we can. Confirmation of the sessions will be sent via WhatsApp and email on or before 13 January 2025 (Monday).
