The Shaw Prize Foundation
The Shaw Prize Foundation manages and administers the Shaw Prize. It was incorporated in November 2002 with the object of giving, in the form of prizes of a charitable nature, to those persons who have achieved distinguished contributions in academic and scientific research or applications or have conferred the greatest benefit to mankind.
The Shaw Prize Foundation supports the Council of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum in organizing activities, events and programmes relating to the Hong Kong Laureate Forum, and promoting the development of mutually beneficial relations in fostering the exchanges among scientists of different generations, cultures and disciplines.
On 14 May 2019, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the HKLF and the Foundation to establish collaboration in fostering the exchanges among Laureates of the Shaw Prize and young scientists from Hong Kong and all over the world.
Lee Shau Kee Foundation
Throughout the years, Lee Shau Kee Foundation has made generous contributions to numerous education and community projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas, bringing remarkable and immeasurable benefits to society.
Being the Principal Sponsor, the Foundation has pledged full sponsorship for the Hong Kong Laureate Forum for five years, starting 2019. On 14 May 2019, a sponsorship agreement was signed between the HKLF and the Foundation.
