Prelude to the Inaugural Forum
The inaugural Forum is scheduled to be held in the 13-18 November 2023. In the run-up to the Forum, the HKLF is organising a series of events, "Prelude to the Inaugural Forum", starting September 2021. The series of events include four main chapters, namely "Science Exposition", "Masterminds, Masterclasses", "Exploring New Horizons" and "Wonder Women in Science". Each of these chapters has its unique elements to cater for a variety of audience and further the HKLF’s missions of providing a platform for scientists with different expertise from the world to come together to promote science and enlighten the younger generation in the scientific community.
Science Exposition
14-18 September and 13-16 October 2021 "Do you think scientific research is like a mystery?"A number of Hong Kong’s scientists and research teams will showcase their latest and captivating research achievements that cover both science theories and applications. Not only to disclose the research theories behind, but also to share with YOU their research journey which made of countless challenges and some secrets to success.

Masterminds, Masterclasses
November 2021 "Are you curious about the research journey of globally renowned scientists and fascinated by their research achievements?""Masterminds, Masterclasses" offers an invaluable platform and opportunity for YOU to have boundless inspirational and intellectual exchange with prominent scientists. Apart from a seminar to be hosted for a wider audience, there will also be direct dialogue sessions between globally renowned scientists and selected young science enthusiasts. Sharing by the scientists on their research journey and personal experience would truly act as an inspiring catalyst to sustain YOU in the pursuit of science and planning YOUR research journey ahead.

Exploring New Horizons
December 2021 and January 2022 "Are YOU interested in the latest research facilities in Hong Kong and real laboratory setting and running?" "Are YOU keen to know how did scientists come up with a research idea / question and go through the ups and downs in their research journey until they found their answers?"Come join the "Exploring New Horizons", where a number of promising local scientists / research teams will be generously offering their laboratories for YOUR visit and / or scheduled sessions to meet with YOU for knowledge and idea exchange.
Wonder Women in Science - Inspiring and Empowering the Next Generation
26 July 2022 "What is YOUR PERCEPTION on the role of women in science, technology and research?"We should applaud and rejoice for the contributions in science and technology that women have made over the years. There will be an exhibition and a seminar featuring various role models of female scientists and researchers in Hong Kong and from around the world.
